Many of us today heavenly use the internet, particularly
mobile app’s, to make many of our daily decisions. We may browse our local
theater’s app to see what movies are playing nearby or our favorite
restaurant’s app to see what specials they have for the day. Aside from daily events, entertainment or
leisure, apps are also often used as a reference to health problems or health
related activities. These apps are a major breakthrough in many people’s lives
due to the convenience as well as the amount of information available to everyday
people. However the question of regulations and risks raised an issue towards
these types of apps readily available to those interested. Questions such as, “are
these apps FDA approved?” and “are these apps trustworthy?” lead up to a bill
known as the Software Act (Wicklund, 2015) .
If you would like to see the revised version of the Software
Act and its plans to clarify these questions along with categories certain
medical apps may be placed under; take the time to look over this interesting article
by Eric Wicklund from mHealth News.

Software Act
