#Broadband
Wi-Fi and broadband networks are familiar terms to
almost everyone. Being able to access
the internet without having to physically be in front of a modem has been
useful for personal and business purposes. Large companies that provide
internet services have been servicing selected areas for quite some time.
Within the past couple of years or so, certain cities have opted a decision to
create independent broadband service to those in their area.
Being able to outweigh a difference in opinion about this
hot topic may cause a person to agree or disagree with this option. An article titled,
FCC Chair Says Agency Will Nix State Laws That Block Broadband by Jeff John Roberts, briefly describes an overview of
this issue while providing two examples of cities opting towards alternate
broadband services.
